1.5 Liter 2008 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast - HAND PAINTED and ETCHED

Power, elegance, strength and finesse are ample in this generous wine.  Rich, pungent aromas leap from the glass, cherry-pit, tar, aniseed, herbs, earthy, cherry liquor, marmalade, citrus blossoms, violet, rose petals, combine in layer after layer of richness that keeps coming in waves.  Elaborately flavored, this extraordinarily complex wine is a  full-bodied wine that is stuffed with pastry-filling cherries, dried herbs, blackberries, currants and raspberries, with exotic additions of cola, red licorice and vanilla.  This wine is easy to enjoy and will continue to please for many years.

This is our maiden release of Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast Appellation.  The region is cooler than MOST of inland Sonoma County,  and slows down the maturation of the Pinot Noir into October, even when most Russian River Pinots are picked in September.  This additional hang time on the vine developes very refined tannins, flavors, aromas and mouthfeel and creates a pinot that will last for many years.  The Pinot Noirs that come from the Sonoma Coast are power houses and this wine will show you why!

Only 250 BOTTLES signed and numbered to the wine club produced.  This wine will release for sale on 11-1-09 in the next wine club selection.
