Our little Ponytails yield mighty flavors of concentrated blackberry, ripe fig, high-toned cherry, white pepper, and violets, all on a dreamy bed of vanilla crème and mocha pillows. It is grown North of the town of Healdsburg just a heartbeat from the Healdsburg Airport. The vines are small and struggle to grow in soil rich in gravel and hilly conditions. We let this vintage hang well into the first week of harvest. This was picked just before the first rainstorm hit our vineyards. This wine is rich in white pepper, violets, bright blackberry, and dark chocolate on the finish. Took GOLD at the 2020 San Francisco Wine Competition More will certainly follow. Sante! Nancy
Our Ponytails Zinfandel is grown on Steeply terraced hills on the Pony Ranch owned by Laurie and Robert Pouseman in Healdsburg, CA, Sonoma County. The vineyard is delicately manicured and well-groomed. Producing intense flavors, colors, and highly extracted flavors and aromas. Our growers are wonderful and we love to spend time with Laurie and Robert whenever we can. The Ranch has such a sweet name because it historically was a ranch for small horses. When Laurie and Robert purchased the ranch the name stuck. We love it and so will you! Nancy
